Quick questions for yall!! pls. peep!
in light of the WTO shit, it got me thinking. mad people critized me the other day cuz i thought the protests and riots werent really gonna solve anything, but that aside, im wondering why people come out in the hundreds to show support against sweatshops and megacorporations like nike and starbucks, but dont protest against the problems in your own country or even city? why dont people protest against people getting killed everyday in ghettos, or getting beaten or killed by police, or drugs in they community or handgun control? everytime there is rally like one of the above (if there even is one) know one shows up! sheltering the homeless? being a big brother? racism in the workplace? abused single mothers? giving to a foster child? brothers with aids? this is not a diss, just a question, im real curious. we jump to the cause for others but neglect our own, i think its a shame. thanks for reading this. peace.
-how do yall feel?
if you all becoming communisist I am going to lead the second red scare.
Now I was planning on just keeping this one to myself but enough is enough.
The only time I physically met budafett, he admitted to me that his girlfriend once caught him in an intimate position with himself. He was testing the weight and geometrical limits of an empty bottle of Gordon's gin, while at the same time, staring in bliss at the television screen, which, at the time, happened to be showing that lil ape boy, Chaka, in one of the archived unreleased scenes, where he becomes overexcited and physically aroused and excited by a horny Sleestack in the remote section of the cave.
This all took place during a Nickolodeon all night Land of the Lost marathon and let me tell you folks, the way he described it all, it was A MESS to clean up! Seriously, y'all
budafett is truly, in the words of Brand Nubian, "just a sick messed up individual"

And y'all say I never stay on topic!
Now there's an image 4 ya!!
On the other issue.....we've been born into a world where consumerism takes priority over the basic elements that put us all here - yes, Mother Nature. And our government goes out of it's way to make sure we all get hooked on the idea that money = power and if we don't play their game, we're all gonna lose. I don't know where to begin to solve heaping shitty problems that have created the fucked up state of our country - it's been too long in the making. But I do know how to change my own behavior, and maintain a conscious state of mind & awareness. And I hope to influence other people in this way. I think it says alot that everyone who's replied to this post is conscious of this shit - that's a big start.
lilwasted has a collection of soiled panties that he likes to rub on his groin while fantasizing about ray bourque and rick middleton running a train on him....yes two in one....difficult at first but more painful for the penis than the dumpster
Icarus and the rest of the posters:
i guess we will never see eye to eye on this point which is cool, but airing our difference is always a good step in the right direction. everyones seems to have different views on the subject but at least the main theme is we all want something done about the injustices, we all just have different ways we feel it should be handled, but talks like this lead to some kind of common ground after awhile and thats when real structure can begin. im glad you all feel that we should fight for these problems in our socities, coming into this new millenium i feel things are gonna get worse before they get better but please know regardless that even we all share different ideas, live in different places, and have different colors that your back is got and i hope mine is too, see ya on the battle field! peace and blessings.
wow where the fuck do i start? so many good points here. lets start by saying what could have caused all this? i'd like to start with religion. it started out with 1 religion the pre bible days. some people said hey, i dont believe in your religion therefore starting there own religion. which kept going for years and years religions and religions. because the next guy said i really hate your religion and decided the only way to solve this problem is to kill this man. then began wars over someones certain belief in a god. as time went on it went from religion to land. the pilgrams came from europe to aquire more land not to share it. pilgrams sit down to thanksgiving dinner with the indians, shoke their hands after dinner, and as the indians were leaving the pilgrams shot them in their fucking backs.
on to the 21st century where war is the best way to solve problems. if you don't like it then die. the world is just all out fucked up and what can we do? i try to do the best i can for people in need. i don't know what its like to be in need but from what i read and see its pretty fucked up.
some of you might not like my religious comments but its almost 2g we need to be a little more open minded. the first time the world was fucked up god supposedly flushed all the bad out. whats he waitin for now us to do it ourselves? if god is so loving why does he send "souls" to hell? people will never get along as long as we have intellect we will differ in opinions and kill to get our point across.
don't fuck with china. america thinks its the worlds big brother and it can push these other countries around. china has more people and are smarter and more loyal to their country than we are. we all saw what happened with vietnam and it won't no pretty sight.
Who is the illegal alien, PILGRAMS????
Questions for you:
- How the hell are you going to protest murder and drugs in the black community in an effective manner?
Many church groups pray and sway every day about drugs and murder and will forever until you attack those problems at their root which are:
1. the fact that people are conditioned to accept dependency as a panacea. By that I mean:
a) chemical dependency [which leads to people using and ultimately abusing drugs]
b) government dependency [which gets people to be in favor of laws against drug use as opposed to treatment AND more aggressive policing against dealers]
c) commodity dependency [which makes the drug dealing lifestyle appealing; people believe that trinkets and money will cure their ills and lead to power and happiness; neither is true]
So how can you attack the problem and not just the system? I think you can do it by:
a) fighting for drug legalization and decriminalization(yes all drugs) but that would just lead to idle poor people, which is what led to the problem of drugs and murder in the first place "[people] sell crack 'cause they broke"(Kweli).
b) there has to be more than that. I think the answer lies in attacking illegitimate state power and the power of capital with the ultimate goal of eliminating our classist system.
Is not attacking the world's most powerful capitalist organization a way of attacking that? Of course that is by no means a panacea either but it is something. There has to be more of course.
- Why is it that no one shows up for such rallies?
I do, but it's more of a gesture and to get interested people (esp. young people) interested in direct action. Typically these rallies are boring and accomplish nothing. They are usually led by slave moralists (churches) and other self-appointed spokespeople for the community. A lot of people don't desire being a number for someone's egoist deomonstration. We need new tactics and a new way of dealing with issues other than the typical over-used methods of the sixties (or at least the way those methods are glorified in the television culture folklore). Lastly the methods are ineffective because they are essentially asking cannibals to use silverware. Asking an evil monster to be less evil isn't going to change a goddamn thing. Such things [police brutality, et al] are inherent in the world we live in. Protesting them in the typical way is ineffective.
Most of your suggestions were about fighting the symptoms (becoming a big brother [no time], working in soup kitchens [only when the courts make me do community service], et al). I'm about fighting the illness. But rest assured MANY people do direct action work against such things without begging for the government;'s consent. I'm involved with Copwatch and Food Not Bombs (two direct action, consensus-based, anarchist groups dedicated to fighting police [and their inate brutality] and homelessness, respectively). You just may not hear about them because they aren't "led" by preacher types and they don't have soundbites on the news.
Yo I'm finished with what I had to say, y'all can carry on.
SRA..hahahahhahahahaha..you guys are killin me!
Good point on the 7UP. That used to suck. Worse was when kids used to cheat by peekin' and get away with it cause the teacher was busy doing lines off the SRA Kits. The teacher would look up all red faced and bloody-nosed, miss the whole thing, and you'd be out! Fuck.

Hip Hop Historian,
Let's not forget, Starbucks are drug pushers. I just laugh at all the junkies with their uppity ass drinks, hanging out at the coffee shops while I swig on beer, all by my lonesome at home.
Caffeine is a lame drug.
1.everything is exactly the way its supposed to be.
2.people talk about read about write about and react to negativity cause we are essentially a positive people so we always are wrapped up in negatives ... however the positive and negatives of our existence are equal!
3.weed is good the NRA is bad... weed is illegal although its purpose is positive,
the NRA is legal yet its purpose is negative and...
4. there are enough people on the planet that they can all do what they want including protesting shit that happens thousands of miles away...
this turned out to be a fat post. what up ya'll?!
i feel you on this VB. it is strange what people will and will not stand up for these days, for instance when congress tried to pass a bill that said:"All assult weapons are to be made illegal....assult weapons being any gun that releases a round when the trigger is depressed". I mean, nobody was up against that shit, just the NRA as usual. People don't get out there and get involved unless they have the support of many other people. Like, when hundreds of people organize a rally, then everyone comes out, but if one mother tries to clean up her hood by walking the streets and tellin it like it is....R.I.P. nahhhwhattimmsayinn? Honestly, i don't know the answer but I appreciate your question.
Way to go Jim Miller.
SMOKE MORE BLUNTS.
TO THE HEAD-PIECE!
budha-you always have something to contribute..you must be a very fascinating young man
anyways about the post-
plenty of people contribute to their community as well as the poor peeps who worry about other places by holding up signs.
you made a good point and i see your perspective but there are other perspectives at hand.
perspective a: the mindset of thinking and caring for people in general all throughout the world..concentrating on what you are informed with and were you see a chance to help a people in great need..perhaps greater need than down the street...so you help that overseas humanity because just because it's not something that you have to be surrounded by dosen't mean it qualify as less important. ya read?
perspective b: some limit their abilities to what they already by chance learned or can relate to...and that might be a cause far far away....ex: people who get involved with stopping kidnapping only after they have had a child kidnapped.-or-will give to the hungry in afrika because your parents were from afrika and had very little food.(ex's general on purpose)
-blockages confronting resolution-
*it's sad but many only learn and feel the pain of others once they have experienced it first hand.
*also obviously ignorance in trying to help a cause will never ever bring right results.ex: fighting for you country in a war against turkey because you have a hate for turkish and not a love and faith in your countries cause.-ex: the rioters and protesters that we speak of right now...they're extremists...they feel they have a spiritual right to act and do exactly what they are doing because they feel so strongly for it..a.k.a-people who think that by expressing how deeply they feel for something will help the matter.
i have done things for others (general on purpose)...if any forum friends are intrested in expanding the meaning of their exsistence they can check out HOPE it is by far the most creditable organization in the world..yes world...and i know the people who founded and run it...so many problems they solved in this human exsistence ...can't get into it know but their on the net and wether you want to help the begger around the corner or the prostitutes in bejing HOPE can make it happen.
i'm a mess
i just got a new car....its not new....just new to me....anyone ever get pissed when they werent picked while playing 7up....i fuckin hated that
i don't know about you but sometimes my room gets messy. sometimes it gets a little messy and its really no thing to clean it up. i know what i wanna keep and what i wanna throw away. but sometimes i don't clean it for a while, and it gets really messy. i don't know whats clean and what ain't. it's so messy all i wanna do is leaveit and pretend its not there, or just go in and chuck everything and start from scratch. our society has gotten to this point, most people, who have the previlage, pretend its not that way and distance themselves via money and high stature. others are the mess and don't even know it. theyare so consumed by the everyday hell calle dliving that the words hope, or reform do not even exist. Shit needs to be cleaned up, im mean for real... like start from scratch... but really is that possible? people treat society like an old car... they keep tryin to fix it up and never realize there is too much damage to fix it. We really need a new car.
funny as i type this there is a starbucks commercial on the radio....all of that trickles down and somehow winds up as drug money in the hands of a drug dealer that just sold your little sister some smack....and you thought she was at the library....next thing you know the dog is knocked up and they're gonna shut off the electricity....good thing you bought those solar powered flashlights....again, the social fabric of this country has obviously deteriorated since kennedy had his head blown off....lots of morons believed ozwald did it....most knew the story was bullshit....but the bottom line is that everyone lost faith in our government and i believe the kennedy assasination is a good starting point....or we could just blame it all on mr t....so people slowly but surely have stopped giving a fuck.....the ones with fires in their bellies want to protest....uh, yeah, kennedy protested vietnam, you see where that got him.....his wife was served a brain salad....if the president cant bitch and stop something then who can....you know, the president of the most powerful country on this planet....when all is said and done we will all be under one set of laws....it would be foolish to consider otherwise....there will be two giant distinct social classes.....its not too far from that now.....what a great idea....you want to get rid of the 'undesirables'???....flood their neighborhoods with cheap addicting drugs....make guns and drugs easy to get....make jobs impossible to get....and slowly sit back and enjoy watching them kill each other over the same crumbs....its elementary.....sort of like going to war....you know its just a matter of time before we war with china and kill off a large portion of those guys....best believe we have already been busy injecting chickens and dropping shit in the water supply to take out a few beforehand....but everyone knows the real money is made going over there and blowing them to smithereens with some expensive ass high tech weaponry
