Producers making thier own albums of beats/cuts/dialog/whatever.
what do you think of this. cause most of the shit i hear i dont even want to listen to the emcee using the same fucking words over and over. i would rather just listen to the beat by itself. i wish more producers would make albums of just beats to listen to. fuck these emcees, who needs them anyway.
Instumental hip-hop is cool. I've been getting into it more and more over the last 3-4 years.
Unfortunately, most producers dont have the patience to make instrumental albums. I'm working on one right now and it takes a lot of patience and a lot of revisions. I'd rather someone not do it at all then come out with something rushed. I don't wanna hear anyone's beat tapes masquerading as an instrumental album either.
My problem with instrumental stuff is that most albums dont have the staying power that an average hip-hop album has. Maybe its because of the lack of lyrics, I'm not sure.
So i doubt that I can see myself listening to inst. stuff in place of hip-hop anytime soon.
