Birth to now, Memorial, must peep.
At age 1/
I was rocking a mic in my diaper
babbling fast like a flashy ass viper
At age 2/
I still packed it inside the plastic
almost talking, now walking, until I get spastic
That's at 3/
I flipped out cuz Disco was hitting
kicked out the house, cuz I couldn't stop bitching
Now at 4/
I heard a song called "rapper's delight"
FLASH took me along and we rhymed all night
then at 5/
I realized to my surprise that
Hip-Hop was on the rise and supplied a live RAP
so at 6/
I do tours to promote this style
And I hop off the boat on the coast of Long Isle
I was 7/
when I knocked on this front door
of this house in the Bronx to say "I've come for"
Mr. Kris Parker and DJ Scott LaRock
don't even bother to bring your glock, let's flock.
I've got the Grandmaster and we're all waiting patient
for you KRS, to Kristen this occasion
Now at 8/
it seems great cuz this trait is surely rising
and at 9/
I feel fine cuz these rhymes are perfect timing
so at 10/
my friend Ben had met my aquaintance
never used a pen, he put rhymes into paintings
very descriptive and awfully unique
he's the one that taught me...talk is real cheap
11 years old/
and we write every day
flipping the scroll, skipping school all day
at age 12/
I wanted to kill some of these rappers
like hammer and ice cuz they're just dumb actors
At age 13/
it's like a movie scene
everyone flashing their suits and the green.
so at 14/
we start the search all over
but BDP beat us cuz we were slower
now at 15/
it's cool cuz we are almost back
we know how to ignore all that crap
the radio adopts the shitty style
and underground represents the real city childs
growing up in N-Y, can't forget the "C"
now I can't believe the year is '93
Biggie and WU, to mention a few
Gangstarr again with his man Je-ru
Group Home too, they all came thru.
now let's not forget, we must stay true.
Nas was ill and on top of his skill
And Hip-Hop was almost on top of the hill
so at 17/
I travel with my walkman by my side
writing rhymes often, while coughing from the lye
and my life seems complete
everywhere I go, I hear flows on the street
whether beat-box or freestyle
I feel like a free child
just knowing that this form of rap, helps me to see smiles.
at 19 years old/
the year is '96, so out with the gold.
time for platinum hits
feels good to be 20/
and see what has evolved
people acting funny and money getting robbed
from all the real talent that's still underground
It's better this way, someday we will be found
of this life has past
and hip-hop has grown, oh so fast
now I'm 22/
and I must give all my love
to ALL of the crews, and the ones up above.
Eric Wright aka Eazy muhphukin E
Christopher Wallace aka Notorious
Must say done X-ceptionally well my manz. Nice original post here and good content all the way.
Peace to you MC
