Using A Bathroom As A Recording Booth
Does anyone know how to do this?
Believe it or not, I constructed a nice vocal booth in my room, with plywood, and egg carton mattresses, costs about 500 bucks canadian for all the material.. you might wanna try to pad down a closet with mattresses and blankets
because of the acoustics in the room, it really isn't an ideal place. you want to have a dead, dry environment. your better off using a closet instead. your just going to have to do twice as much work to insulate the bathroom. unless that is the sound you are trying to get. if you want to insulate it you can do it the ghetto way or you can pay some loot. get some mattress foam, egg crates, shit like that and just tape it to the wall and test it out when you put it up with a mic. see how the acoustics change with the more foam you put up. i'm sure you'll get some other suggestions with the posts to follow...peace
